| Bio: | pekmez is the first Croatian word I ever learned. It means "jam".
Actually it doesn't exactly mean jam, "djem" means jam and "pekmez" means jam without lumps of fruit in it... but I like my jam with lumps of fruit and I think pekmez is a cooler word.
No, I don't know why ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) zubatac taught me the word for jam before any other words.
I think the next thing I learned after that was how to say "I love you", though, so we got the sappy stuff covered too. (Speaking of the sappy stuff, you can occasionally find more of it at our daughter gljiva's lj.)
